I graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University. While there I was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, an Honor Society for counseling students who demonstrate scholastic and professional excellence. For the past ten years I have worked in community mental heath in both direct service, supervisory and managerial positions.
I utilize a Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy framework supported by Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have a direct, yet empathetic approach, which includes being change focused, and with a willingness to adjust treatment to better fit a client’s needs.
I believe client’s are experts on themselves, and even when they may not have a clear solution for solving their problem….
